End of the School Year

Now that the end of the school year has officially arrived, I want to wish each of you a fantastic summer break.  I hope that you are able to spend time being physically active, enjoying family time, and learning new things.  Remember to continue reading (I recommend reading at least two or three novels over the summer), writing (using a journal or a blog at least once a week) and practicing your math (using Mathletics or MathFocus7 for an hour a week).

Thanks for spending the year with me.  Have a wonderful summer break.

All the best

Mr. Conroy

A special note from Ms. Kirkness (Junior Achievement)

Good morning Mr. Conroy and class!

I want to thank all of you for inviting me to your classroom this year and warmly welcoming me eac‎h time I visited you.

I hope you have a wonderful summer and another successful school year beginning in September. I know that, of any students I met this year, YOU will be the ones to change our world for the better.

I'm going to leave you with a link to a short Youtube video‎ - one of my favourites. I can watch this one over and over and it still makes me smile.

Message to Div 2 Families

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

I am deeply saddened by the manner in which this ongoing contract dispute has been handled.  I apologize for the chaos it has caused to my students' education and to your family.

As this may be the last day of school for the year (and I am unfortunately away as I am at home taking care of our youngest son who is fighting a fever), I want to thank you for the support and encouragement that I have received this year.  I see it as a wonderful opportunity and responsibility to help guide Grade 6/7 students through their final year(s) of elementary school.  It has been great to watch the growth and progress of my students this year.  I am still optimistic that this is not the end of the school year, but in the event that it is, I want to wish each of you a fantastic summer break.

All the best,

Dave Conroy
